SI FAIR 2010

Today i got message from my friends,  she ask about that i have a backup of “virtual police”, the projects have build my team last year. and i said why she was look for the project, projec  it turns out we will be fed into the SI FAIR to be held on December 6 to 11 December 2010. I was shocked and proud of our project on database management course last year can be entered in the event of SI FAIR.

SI FAIR is the event which was held by the School of Information Systems Institut Teknolog 10 November Surabaya that aims to introduce our faculty to the wider society, many think that simmiliar Information Systems with Computer Engineering, the opinion was not quite right in because the fact that different information systems with computer techniques and therefore this event is expected to give an idea of majoring in information systems.

SI FAIR 2010 The event itself will be held in early December, following a series of events that exist at the SI FAIR 2010:

1.Visit JSI
Visit Department of Information Systems (JSI) is the visit of students of high school / vocational school to the ITS Information Systems with the aim not just to see facilities & existing infrastructure, but also able to participate and feel a lecture that took place at that time.

Nuclear Sabotage by Virus

Stuxnet would have created a computer virus to sabotage of nuclear facilities. In fact, the virus was first suggested he make an explosion.

Gmail care about the environment

Google is one of the leading web search today, nearly everyone must know this search engine. Even googling the term until there is a big Oxford dictionary, the term to search for an Opera-on google. Similarly, Google started care with the environment for programmers who are always associated with the computer course. This I realized when accidentally see one of the themes of Gmail (google mail).

Starting some time ago Gmail has introduced a breakthrough in their emai application, namely to give the theme in our emails so as to avoid feeling bored when accessing the email page (which usually only didominisi white color). At the time I just choose based on preference alone, without realizing it, but when it will change the theme to be used we will dutanyakan about the location of where we are, at first I just ignored it as long as our email page more interesting . Finally I settled on the theme ‘waiting bus’ on these themes  about a group of people waiting for the queue at a bus stop on a sunny weather., As in the picture below

But one day when I was about to make sending email to a friend of mine found something interesting pda view from my email page, the picture becomes clear themes that are usually cloudy and rainy, like in the picture below

I also was intrigued why it can happen, look out turns ultimately when it was raining heavily. So I conclude that the theme of Gmail under the weather at a place, that is the area we fill the first time we fill in where we are,. I was trying to do the test once again reinforces my suspicion, when the weather is sunny then the theme will be sunny and when it was raining teryata theme changed again into the rain.

that’s true google is also concerned about the environment, come to think of it is true, sometimes the computer engineering is usually always glued to the computer regardless of the surrounding environment, so Google created the application of this theme to help the enginnering is to care about the environment. After doing googling it turns out that there are many other themes are also themes that are associated with it. One of them is the theme that menggamabarkan sunrise, sunset and night.

Hopefully with the add on extras like this, we become more concerned about the environment, especially for people who often spend time in front of the monitor screen.

Use case modeling is use for to  describe system what we bulid. usecase is the scenario what will be do in our project.  ussualy we confuse how to make usecase alright. according use case driven object modeling with uml theory and practice from Doug Rosenberg and Matt Stephens. There  is 10 guideline to make use case modeling there are :

9. Organize your use cases with actors and use case diagrams.
8. Write your use cases in active voice.
7. Write your use case using an event/response flow, describing both sides of the user/system dialogue.
6. Use GUI prototypes and screen mock-ups.
